New band Superchick's creates a fun mix pop/punk/rock music with a purpose. Karaoke Superstars, the band's debut album, is an aggressive pop/punk disc full of songs that encourage kids with down-to-earth Christian perspective on the world. Like the opening track, "Barlow Girls," which tells teenage girls that it's okay not to date or dress sexy. Other songs address topics like taking risks in "Get Up", being a light for God in this dark world in "Super Trooper Spotlight", and not letting our fears of what other people think of us keep us from what God has planned for us in "One Grrrl Revolution". On their debut album you'll hear guitar, bass, and drums, along with keyboards, turntables, bongos, and more. If you catch them live, watch out for wild effects like pyrotechnics, "confetti cannons," and "toilet paper blowers." They're gaining droves of fans daily and they've got some very important stuff to say that today's young people need to hear.
